„Things I Have learned in my life”

Stefan Sagmeisters international ausgezeichnete Typoaktion „Things I Have learned in my life” hat Aufforderungscharakter. Gerhard Illig ist diesem gefolgt und hat in dessen Blog www.thingsihavelearnedinmylife.com einen gestalteten Sinnspruchmit folgendem Kommentar eingestellt:

This summer my wife and I made a dream come true and cycled from Vancouver down to San Francisco. One evening in a small town we found a beer called “Fat Tire”. What a gorgeous name for a beer if you´re cycling the coast. Back in germany I tried to get “Fat Tire” delivered to my home town. Unfortunately it’s impossible. But what I found out was that there is an unbelievable brand beyond the beer. It’s called “New Belgium” and the claim is “Follow your folly”. Whow! This means so much more to me than “Find your way” or something stupid like this I had in my mind when I thought about designing a sentence out of google maps icons while I was planning my bicycle trip. Thanks to “New Belgium” for the inspiration, their funny website (which I look at almost every day) and of course the beer.
Anyway I like any kind of maps. They’re telling stories about adventures. They make me go out and find out.
